Author BiographySarah Tindal Kareem was born in London to an Indian father and a Scottish mother After reading English at Girton College, Cambridge, she received her PhD from Harvard Univeitys Department of English in 2003 Postdoctoral fellowships took her to the Max Planck Ititute for the History of Science in Berlin, to UCLAs Center for Seventeenth- and Eighteenth-Century Studies, and to the Univeity of Chicagos Society of Fellows In 2007 she returned to UCLA as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate coues in literature of the long eighteenth century Eighteenth-Century Fiction and the Reinvention of Wonder is her fit book She lives in Santa Monica, California, with her husband and their two children
